Generally, the visa must be requested at the Embassies, Consulates or online procedure.
- Patent: to drive within the states that are part of the EC, an Italian license is generally sufficient. As regards non-EC states, however, the rules change and it will be necessary to check the specific rules for that country. In some cases you will need an international driving permit.
Remember that the documents must be in good condition, not worn or torn or you may have problems with the local authorities.
All travel documents must be kept carefully and it is absolutely forbidden to lose them. One piece of advice we always give is to make photocopies to put in different backpacks and suitcases so that you always have a copy in case of theft or loss of a bag. A good rule that we use is to have a small shoulder pouch to keep under our clothes where we put our passport, credit cards and things that we absolutely cannot lose.
Always consult the Viaggiare Sicuri website for all the specific information you need about your destination.
