Cookie policy

The EU Cookie Law was approved in Italy with legislative decree 69/2012 and 70/2012. In May 2014, the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data intervened with a provision for the identification of simplified methods for the information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies - 8 May 2014 (Published in the Official Gazette no. 126 of 3 June 2014), which websites like this must comply with. This Cookie Policy is aimed at providing the user with information relating to cookies and their use and how to intervene to refuse or delete them if desired, keeping in mind that, however, by disabling cookies, some features of the site may not function correctly as expected.

What are cookies and what are they for?

Cookies are small text strings (files) that the sites visited by the user send to the device (usually to the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same sites on subsequent visits. Cookies, in addition to allowing the site to function efficiently and improving its performance, allow us to offer the user a better browsing experience by allowing, for example, memorizing the preferences set (language, currency, etc.). The use of cookies is therefore aimed at monitoring sessions, performing computer authentication and storing information on specific configurations by users. Blocking or removing cookies could therefore cause incomplete use of the services provided by the site.

Types of cookies

Cookies are mainly divided into:

  • Technical cookies: they are used to allow navigation according to a series of selected criteria in order to improve the user's service (the choice of language, the products selected for purchase or authentication to access reserved areas). For these cookies, prior consent from the user is not required (pursuant to article 122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code, in the formulation in force following the entry into force of Legislative Decree 69/2012).
  • Profiling cookies: they are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when browsing the internet and are aimed at creating user profiles. The Italian and European information provides that the user must be adequately informed about the use of profiling cookies and express their consent.

Further types of cookies concern the different period of time through which a cookie operates and are divided into:

  • Session (or transient) cookies: necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site. They are limited to the transmission of session identifiers consisting of random numbers generated by the server, they are not stored on the user's computer and disappear when the web browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: they are stored by the web browser and remain valid until the expected expiration date unless the user removes them before that date.

Cookies can also be First Party, in the case of cookies created and readable by the site that created them, or by the manager of the site itself, or Third Party, in the case of cookies deriving from a site other than the one you are visiting which installs them on the latter.

Cookies used on this site

  • Browsing cookies: they are technical cookies necessary for the functioning of the site. They allow us to recognize the user's access settings without having to enter any data entered each time the site is visited. These cookies can be disabled from the web browser in use. To carry out this operation, please refer to the following paragraph "How to disable or remove cookies".
  • Functional cookies: they are not essential for the functioning of the site but improve the experience and quality of navigation. For example, if you have added items to your cart but closed your session before completing the purchase, the next time you access the site (and in any case within a limited period), you can find the selected products.

These cookies can be disabled from the web browser in use. To carry out this operation, please refer to the following paragraph "How to disable or remove cookies".

  • Analytical cookies: This site uses the Google Analytics service for the analysis of web traffic provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). In this case these are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies). Google Analytics uses "cookies" to anonymously collect and analyze information on usage behavior of the atergolupi.com site (including the user's IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it for the purpose of drawing up reports regarding the activities on the websites themselves. This site does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) the Google analytics tool to monitor or collect personally identifiable information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google nor does it attempt to connect an IP address with the identity of a user. Google may also communicate this information to third parties where this is required by law or where such third parties process the aforementioned information on behalf of Google. For further information, please refer to the link below: https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/ The user can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their browser. • Cookies di Google Map: These cookies are used by Google to store user preferences and information each time they visit web pages containing geographical maps from Google Maps. These cookies contain enough information to allow tracking.
  • Real Cookie Banner: To manage cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and related consent, we use the “Real Cookie Banner” consent tool. Details on how “Real Cookie Banner” works are available at https://devowl.io/rcb/data-processing/.

The legal bases for the processing of personal data in this context are Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of cookies and similar technologies used and related consents. The provision of personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide personal data. If you do not provide personal data, we will not be able to manage your consents. N.B. For all Third Party cookies, we do not control the information provided by the cookies nor do we have access to such data.
